A. Mate in two moves
Theme: in at least two phase a black royal battery gives a check in at least one variation with a changed mate.

B. Helpmate in two moves
Theme: in at least two solution a white battery is formed by the movement of the back piece into the battery line. The front piece must be the same in the two (or more) solutions. The battery can be formed by two different pieces moving into the battery line, by the same piece moving into different squares along the same battery line or by any combination using different lines but with the same front piece. The battery can be direct or indirect.
